The President of the Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik said today that the RS is preparing a decree on the arrest and deportation of the high representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Kristijan Šmit.
"If he comes to a meeting in Republika Srpska, he will be kicked out," Dodik said, as reported by Republika Srpska Radio and Television (RTRS).
He pointed out that the RS police will have a task in this regard.
"As soon as they find out that this white-world scumbag is in the RS, they have the task of organizing units and getting him out," said Dodik.
He repeated that for him Schmidt does not have the legitimacy of a high representative, because his appointment was not confirmed by the Security Council of the United Nations (UN) and that Schmidt is not the one who can speak about the rule of law.
"Which Europe? What is he talking about? It's like, it's important that there's a force behind him. Let him stand, we'll see how he does. We also have some force, our force is character," said Dodik.
He added that "I can break Milorad Dodik, but I cannot break the character of this nation".
The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed an indictment against Dodik after the National Assembly of the RS adopted two disputed laws on June 27, according to which the decisions of the Office of the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina (OHR) will no longer be published in the Official Gazette of the RS, and thus will not be implemented in this entity, as and that the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina will no longer apply in the RS.
Dodik was accused because, as the president of the RS, he signed the decree on the promulgation of these two laws, after which they were published in the Official Gazette of the RS.
The High Representative in BiH, Kristijan Šmit, with his decisions of July 1, annulled both laws, and imposed changes to the Criminal Code of BiH, which stipulate that any actions that violate the constitutional order of BiH will be treated as a criminal offense, as well as contempt and non-implementation of the High Representative's decisions.
Crnadak: If Dodik's threat comes true, an armed conflict is possible
The head of the Club of Deputies of the Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) in the National Assembly of the RS, Igor Crnadak, called today not to allow the RS to enter into armed conflicts.
"Kristijan Šmit's security is armed and if Dodik's threat comes true, there is a real possibility of an armed conflict," Crnadak told reporters in Banja Luka.
Crnadak said that today the opposition parties will hold an "open-air parliament" in front of the RS National Assembly building in Banja Luka.
NSRS previously adopted conclusions according to which the representatives of the RS will not discuss the resolution of any of the 14 priorities from the Opinion of the European Commission, until the issues of the departure of foreign judges from the Constitutional Court of BiH and the closure of the Office of the High Representative are resolved.
