The criminal non-trial panel of the High Court in Belgrade has issued a decision today that the father of KK, who killed ten people in the elementary school "Vladislav Ribnikar", Vladimir K, should be extended his detention, which according to that decision can last for a maximum of 30 days, the High Court announced in Belgrade.
"According to the defendant VK, the detention was extended for legal reasons, i.e. due to the existence of special circumstances that indicate that, in the case of being released, he will repeat the criminal offense in a short period of time, as well as considering that it is reasonably suspected that he committed a criminal offense for which is prescribed a prison sentence of over ten years, and the manner of execution and the seriousness of the consequences of the criminal offense led to public uproar, which may threaten the smooth and fair conduct of the criminal proceedings", according to the statement of the High Court, reports N1.
By the same decision, according to the mother, the defendant MK was given a measure prohibiting her from approaching, meeting or communicating with a certain person, which prohibited her from approaching, meeting or communicating with the witness KK (who killed ten people), and at the same time she was warned that according to she can be given a more severe measure if she violates the imposed ban, it was stated.
"The defendant VK is charged with the criminal offense of Serious offense against general security, while the defendant MK is charged with the criminal offense of Illegal production, possession, carrying and trafficking of weapons and explosive materials," the statement added.
An appeal against the said decision is allowed to the Court of Appeal in Belgrade, within three days of receiving the decision.
