The Third Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, in cooperation with the New Belgrade Police Station, ordered the detention of VD (51) due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of Assault on an official in the performance of his official duties.
The suspect will be heard at the prosecutor's office on Thursday, October 12, it says N1.
As reported by the media, VD is accused of first insulting a police officer in the premises of the Novi Beogard police station while intoxicated, and then physically attacking him.
When two more police officers approached, he inflicted minor physical injuries on them.
