"Novi Sad clan replaced Zemun"

Kosovo Prime Minister Aljbin Kurti said yesterday that behind the attack in Banjska, which he called "paramilitary and terrorist", was "the Novi Sad clan headed by Serbian Defense Minister Miloš Vučević".

"He is the president of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party, he was elected mayor of Novi Sad three times with the help of Zvonko Veselinović and he is the closest friend of the brother of the President of Serbia, Andrej Vučić," Kurti wrote on Facebook.

Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed in an attack by an armed group of Serbs on the Kosovo police on September 24, and three attackers were killed in the exchange of fire.

Kurti said that at the time of the attack, there were 40 Orthodox pilgrims from Novi Sad in the Banjska monastery and that the investigation should show whether it was accidental.

"The fugitive terrorist group led by Milan Radoičić is staying in Raška. The infamous MUP of Serbia gave them white and black Škoda Octavia cars with BG and NS license plates," Kurti wrote.

He also stated how the Zemun clan in Serbia "replaced" the Novi Sad clan, said that President Aleksandar Vučić was a "capo-di-tutti-capi" and that the state of Serbia is the one "dictating crimes" and not the other way around.

Kurti added that "terror, crime and a culture of violence" reign in four municipalities in the north of Kosovo, and he accused the "paramilitary Red Star fans" for that.

"Since Kosovo has no jurisdiction in Serbia, shouldn't the EU and the US form a Special Court for the Novi Sad clan? The Balkan mafia would suffer a fatal blow, while the Balkan region would be completely open to European democracy, the rule of law, lasting peace and accelerated development," he said.

The Ministry of Defense of Serbia rejected Kurti's accusations and called on the international community to "react immediately" in order to stop "the incendiary and dirty media campaign of the Pristina leadership aimed at Serbia and its officials", Beta reported.

The Ministry's announcement states that Kurti published "blatant lies" and that he does the same, every day, as part of a media campaign, "against the state of Serbia and its leadership."

It is emphasized that in the interest of preserving peace and stability in Kosovo, it is of crucial importance that the authorities in Pristina are forced to "immediately stop the daily terror" against the Serbs, to implement all agreements and to form the Association of Serbian Municipalities.
