Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said this evening in Brussels that he told the leaders of the EU, Germany, France and Italy that Belgrade is ready to implement all the agreements reached in the dialogue with Pristina, but that it cannot agree to Kosovo's membership in the UN and the acceptance of Kosovo's independence. .

After six hours of talks with European mediators, who also met separately with Kosovo Prime Minister Aljbin Kurti, Vučić told reporters that the paper brought by the "big five" to Belgrade and Pristina on October 21 was "a good basis" for continuing work and forming the Community Serbian municipalities (ZSO).

"That paper refers exclusively to the formation of the ZSO, but I cannot talk about the details. We said that that paper is a very good basis and that we are ready to work and to start implementing it immediately, along with the fence with which I introduced the leaders even today three most powerful countries, which is that we cannot accept Kosovo's membership in the UN and the acceptance of Kosovo's independence," said Vučić.

After talks with the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, the EU's special representative for the Western Balkans, Miroslav Lajčak, the president of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the leaders of France, Germany, and Italy, Emmanuel Macron, Olaf Solca, and Djordje Meloni, Vučić stated that he "told them clearly" that Serbia wants to apply all the agreements reached in the dialogue from 2013 until this year's agreements from Brussels and Ohrid.

"We have always emphasized that Serbia cannot accept Kosovo's membership in the UN or Kosovo's independence, and in those positions we said that we are ready to fulfill what was agreed. We are fully ready for the formation of the ZSO, but I think that today it is clear to everyone who is blocking progress ", he added.

Vučić said that Pristina should have implemented the Brussels agreement from 2013 a long time ago, but that he "knows that they will not fulfill it" even now that Belgrade is ready to apply this year's agreements from Brussels and Ohrid in parallel.

"I think that the situation is incomparably clearer to the leaders (of the EU, France, Germany and Italy) and advisers (of the leaders of the three most powerful European countries) than it was before," said Vučić.

He stated that today "no one mentioned any sanctions against Serbia" and that there was no word "about signing or not signing something".

Vučić also said that many topics were discussed today, from the de-escalation of the situation to the implementation of the agreements reached, and added that Serbia "knows what its obligations are and what remains to be applied from the agreement, since 2011, from customs stamps to the tables".

He also said that NATO and KFOR refer to the norms of the Kumanovo Agreement and Resolution 1244 of the UN Security Council, because the entire mandate of KFOR is based on that resolution, but that the problem is when Western countries say that they will support the creation of the Kosovo army because they have no right to do so. to work according to that resolution from June 1999.

"When I ask that question, they say that they recognized Kosovo as an independent state and that according to them they have the right to create an army. I told the five that if they do that, then they cannot refer to international law, but to say that are very strong and can do anything," added Vučić.
