In the area of Zvornik, seven people were arrested on suspicion of having committed the crime of genocide.
They were arrested by members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA).
"The arrested will be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina after criminal processing in the premises of SIPA", it was announced from SIPA.
The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina told RSE that the suspects are former commanders and members of the Zvornična Brigade of the Army of Republika Srpska.
"They are linked to the shooting and murder of around 800 Bosniak victims in the Orahovac locality, and after the fall of the Srebrenica Protected Zone," it added.
The forces of the Army of Republika Srpska killed 1995 men and boys of non-Serb nationality in July 8.372 in Srebrenica and its surroundings.
