Prime Minister of Kosovo Aljbin Kurti said today that the former vice-president of the Serbian List and the leader of the armed attack in Banjska, Milan Radoičić, together with "members of the Serbian secret service", are hiding members of the "terrorist" organization that participated in the attack on Banjska and are planning attacks on Kosovo.
"After the terrorist attack, Radoičić was released by a Serbian court in record time, and now he continues preparations for other attacks in Kosovo, together with some members of the terrorist organization 'Civil Defense'. Radoičić also has regular meetings with high officials of the BIA, while his premises companies in Raška and Novi Pazar are used to house and store vehicles and explosive devices for future attacks on Kosovo. Several members of the 'Civil Defense', whose instructor is Uglješa Jaridić, are housed in those buildings," Kurti said at a press conference together with the minister of Internal Affairs of Kosovo Dželja Svečlja.
The Ministry of Defense of Serbia announced that it "strongly rejects the lies" presented today by Kosovo Prime Minister Aljbin Kurti and Kosovo Police Minister Dzheljalj Svečlja, especially those that accuse the Serbian Army of involvement in the events in Banjska and connections with non-existent "terrorist groups" that are allegedly planning an invasion to the territory of Kosovo.
"The Ministry and the Serbian Armed Forces act exclusively in accordance with their legal competences. Therefore, it is a notorious lie and complete nonsense that the training grounds of the Serbian Armed Forces are used for the training of any units, except for the units of the Armed Forces and occasionally the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and that there are any plans for an 'attack' on the territory of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija", announced the Ministry.
Kurti said that the weapons used in the attack in Banjska were stored in a "Serbian company that is on the US blacklist".
"At this location are concentrated the vehicles, weapons and arsenal used in Banjska... this company (Novi Pazar put), which is on the US blacklist, is owned by the brothers Zvonk and Žarko Veselinović and Milan Radoičić. The director is a colonel of the Serbian army retired Grba, who participated in the wars in Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo. A month before the attack on Banjska, the President of Serbia (Aleksandar Vučić) visited that company to open the construction of the Raška - Novi Pazar road," said Kurti.
According to his claims, the group headed by Radoičić also had training with heavy weapons.
"At the same time, a group of 80 people who left Kosovo continued the exercise at the Zimovnik training ground near Raška. The training is conducted by retired Serbian officers who hold high ranks and who know Kosovo because they may have served in the army during the war with us. anti-tank mines in winter conditions and for snipers," he said.
According to Kurti, an attack is also planned for this Sunday, right after the elections in Serbia.
"At the training ground in Pešter, the exercises of the group of 60 members of the 'Civil Defense' which participated in the attack on Banjska continued. This group planned an attack on our police after the elections in Serbia at border locations related to illegal alternative routes. For this purpose, it is stated that there were moves by the Serbian Army, which stationed soldiers at several points, in the locations where these attacks were planned. The members (of the group) who escaped from the north also gathered in another place called Goč," claimed the Kosovo Prime Minister.
Kurti used the press conference to criticize the Kosovo prosecutor's office for not having any information or indictment three months after the attack in Banjska and assessed that this is unacceptable because it is the biggest attack on the constitutional order and territorial integrity of Kosovo.
The Ministry of Defense of Serbia stated that "in the absence of any constructive solutions that would lead to the establishment of peace and stability on the territory of our southern province, Kurti and Svečlja, like broken gramophones, repeat over and over again lies that no serious person in the international community has believed, nor will they believe. ".
