Vučić: Two police officers were seriously injured, several others were injured, more than 35 thugs were arrested

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, said that during tonight's protest in front of the Belgrade City Assembly, two policemen were seriously injured, and several others were slightly injured, as well as that more than 35 "thugs" were arrested.

"The arrest of thugs and thugs continues throughout the city and this action will not stop. The identity of some persons is being established at this moment, and all persons will be arrested during the night and morning," Vučić told Pink television after the National Security Council session.

He stated that two police officers were seriously injured, and several were slightly injured.

"Once, the bleeding was barely stopped. We have more minor injuries or those with a vaguely determined degree of injury. They were pelted with dice that you can literally kill a man with. Glass fell on their visors, faces, arms and legs," Vučić said.

According to him, an attempt was made tonight to "forcibly occupy state institutions", and there is evidence that everything "was prepared".

"We have solid evidence for this and we will not give up on it. The state will react and I am convinced that the prosecution and competent authorities will react exactly in accordance with the constitution and laws of our country. No one has the right to destroy our house, to destroy property of our country and citizens, and even less to cause serious physical injuries to our police officers," said Vučić.

According to him, the head of the Bureau for the Coordination of Security Services, Ivica Dacic, has scheduled a meeting of that body tomorrow at 15 p.m.
