Stojković: Sandulović was taken into custody, beaten for hours in the premises of the BIA and filmed with a mobile phone

The leader of the Republican Party of Serbia, Nikola Sandulović, was arrested on January 3 and, according to his lawyer Čedomir Stojković, brutally beaten in the premises of the Security and Information Agency (BIA).

Sandulović was arrested on January 3 shortly before 16.00:XNUMX p.m., and then he was taken to the premises of the BIA, where fifteen masked people, as his lawyer claims, brutally beat him for four hours, writes Nova.rs.

He fainted several times, and eventually an ambulance was called and he was transferred to the Military Medical Academy to the Department of Neurosurgery, because, as his lawyer claims, the right side of his body was taken from him.

"They filmed him while they were beating him and sent those videos to someone. He was arrested and beaten because of a video on the social network X (formerly Twitter), in which he is seen laying a wreath at the Jašari family monument in Kosovo. He is accused of spreading religious, national and racial intolerance, and was actually arrested for placing flowers on the grave of an Albanian. Regardless of what one thinks of Jašari, like every other citizen of Serbia, Sandulović has the right to his opinion. Moreover, the video is old for a year or two. All this was done according to Milošević's recipe, when Aleksandar Vučić was the Minister of Information. At the same time when Sandulović was arrested and brutally beaten, the regime media launched a campaign against him," says lawyer Čedomir Stojković.

Sandulović was then released home, where he was taken in an ambulance, but later he was arrested again and taken to the District Prison in Belgrade, where he was detained for up to 48 hours.

After that, he should be brought to Niš, where the prosecution office where he should be heard is located, which was relocated from Kosovo and Metohija.

Kurti: The beating of Sandulović is proof of what happens to Serbs who dare to accept the truth

Kosovo Prime Minister Aljbin Kurti said today that the "severe beating" of the leader of the Republican Party, Nikola Sandulović, "by the Serbian secret service is an indication of what will happen to the citizens of Serbia if they dare to accept the truth and strive for reconciliation."

"Deeply concerned by reports that Serbian opposition leader Nikola Sandulović is paralyzed due to a severe beating by the Serbian secret service. This comes after his apology for the crimes committed by Serbia during the genocidal campaign in Kosovo," Kurti wrote on the X platform.

According to him, this "unspeakable brutality" represents a move that the Serbian government "imposes on its citizens for the courage to accept the truth and strive for reconciliation. This also represents a serious violation of the European Convention on Human Rights and an attack on those who refuse to participate in the denial of genocide."

Pristina media reported the statement of Sandulović's lawyer, Čedomir Stojković, who said that Sandulović's health condition is very serious and that Sandulović was brutally beaten two days in a row by members of the Security and Information Agency, because he laid flowers on the graves of the Jašari family in Prekaz and asked for forgiveness for the Serbian crimes in Kosovo.
