The Security and Information Agency (BIA) announced this evening that "there was no violation of freedom and rights, nor was there any illegal use of physical force," according to the president of the Republican Party, Nikola Sandulović.

The BIA stated in a statement that, according to Sandulović, it "undertook activities from the legally prescribed scope of the agency's work".

On January 2, Sandulović posted a video of his visit to the "Adem Jašari" complex in Kosovo on the social network X (X), and then his lawyer Čedomir Stojković stated that Sandulović was arrested by members of the BIA, who, as he claims, "beat him and used brutal violence".

The BIA statement says that its members "undertook activities aimed at clarifying the background of Sandulović's illegal activity, which the competent prosecutor qualified as the criminal offense of inciting national, racial and religious hatred and intolerance."

"By telling lies about the alleged illegal behavior of members of the BIA, Sandulović and other promoters of the so-called independence of Kosovo want to misinform and disturb the domestic and foreign public, damage the reputation of the BIA and destabilize the security situation in Serbia," it added.

Members of the BIA, as announced, "will continue to act professionally and responsibly in accordance with the Constitution and law of Serbia in order to protect the order and security of Serbia and its citizens".
