CINS: NUNS filed a complaint regarding the attack on the Instagram profile of journalist Ivana Milosavljević

"For now, we believe that these attacks are the result of Ivana's journalistic work and an attempt to directly harm her, and that there is a completely justified danger that her account on social networks will actually be taken over."

The Independent Association of Journalists of Serbia (NUNS) filed a complaint with the Special Prosecutor's Office for High-Tech Crime due to the attack on the Instagram profile of the journalist of the Center for Investigative Journalism of Serbia (CINS) Ivana Milosavljević, CINS announced today.

As they stated, someone tried to access the Instagram account of the journalist, who published an investigative story on the call center of the Serbian Progressive Party on the eve of the election, seven times yesterday, and the first attempt was recorded a couple of days earlier.

"For now, we believe that these attacks are the result of Ivana's journalistic work and an attempt to directly harm her, and that there is a completely justified danger that her account on social networks will actually be taken over," the application states.

A little over a month has passed since CINS published a survey on the call center of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).

"Milosavljević, as a CINS journalist, was briefly part of a large call center hidden from the public, from which more than 100 people called citizens every day and asked them if they would report for SNS. This is how she exposed that behind everything was a well-organized group and method of work that casts doubt on buying votes and money from 'black funds'", stated CINS.

As stated in the CINS text, the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption decided not to initiate proceedings in connection with the SNS call center.
