The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, assessed today that Pristina's announcement of the cancellation of payment transactions with central Serbia and the cancellation of the dinar is one of the key problems "not only in the further process of normalization of relations, but in general in the existence of any dialogue".
"Because if such things as the abolition of payment transactions and the abolition of the dinar are called into question, then really (Kosovo Prime Minister Aljbin) Kurti is putting all the cards in the fact that there will be no more dialogue," Brnabić told Prva television.
She expressed the hope that everything will end in a "reasonable and rational way" and that the payment transaction will not be abolished, but she added that Serbia has "difficult days" ahead of it.
The Prime Minister stated that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić met with US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O'Brien last night in Davos, adding that it is always good to talk with partners about these topics.
"However, the USA has an interest in stability in this region, that there is no need for any conflict, or any indication of a new conflict on the European continent," said Brnabić.
