The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, today begins consultations on the candidate for the future prime minister of the country, based on the results of the elections held on December 17.
The Cabinet of the President of Serbia announced yesterday that Vučić invited the newspaper "The political struggle of Albanians continues - Šaip Kamberi" and "The Russian Party - Slobodan Nikolić" for consultations on the candidate for prime minister.
First, a list led by Kamberi and gatherings of Albanians from Preševo, Bujanovac and Medveđa were invited to consultations in the building of the General Secretariat of the President.
Kamberi's and the Russian list appeared in the December elections as a minority and each won one parliamentary mandate.
The President of Serbia, by the way, after each election cycle, invites representatives of newspapers that have become parliamentary, i.e. have MPs, to consultations.
The Assembly of Serbia consists of 250 deputies, and the list around the ruling Serbian Progressive Party won 129 mandates in the December elections, so it can form the government itself.
The opposition coalition "Serbia against violence" repeatedly accused them of electoral theft and demanded a repeat of the elections, which the government denied, claiming that they were looking for an alibi for the electoral defeat.
