The Directorate of Civil Aviation of Serbia has removed three companies from the list of authorized aviation operators - two co-owned by the owner of "Pink Media Group" Željko Mitrović and one owned by the godfather of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, Nikola Petrović - portal N1 reported today.
"Air Pink", "Air Emeralds" and "Star Fly Wings" are no longer on the list of authorized aviation operators published by the Directorate.
The Directorate is responsible for issuing the Air Operator Certificate (AOC-Air Operator Certificate), "necessary for the performance of public air transport".
N1 states that "Air Pink" is owned by Željko Mitrović (48,02 percent), "Pink Media Group" (1,98 percent) and Aleksandar Ilić (50 percent), "Air Emeralds" is owned by "Air Pink" ( 100 percent), and "Star Fly Wings" is owned by Nikola Petrović, the godfather of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.
On the website of the European regulatory agency - the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), all three companies are still on the list authorized to perform commercial flights to EU countries, but that list was last updated on February 27.
The remaining three Serbian private airlines, which, along with Air Serbia, have a license to operate flights on the territory of the EU, are still on the list of authorized operators of the Directorate of Civil Aviation of Serbia: "MPC Air", "Prince Aviation" ( Prince Aviation) and "Tinadar Aviation".
Nedjeljnik Radar announced yesterday, and Nova.rs reported, that the body of the European Union for Civil Transport (EASA) demanded that Air Pink, co-owned by Željko Mitrović, return three AOC flight permits, which they did. it is stated that this practically means that their planes are grounded and that the operation of that airline is suspended.
The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, flew on an official visit to Croatia in September last year on the plane of the Belgrade company "Air Emeralds", and not on the Government plane, which, as Milatović's office announced at the time, was unavailable.
On the website of the Agency for Business Registers of Serbia, it is written that the owner of "Air Emeralds" is the company Air Pink, and that both are registered at the same address - Japanska 4, Belgrade (New Belgrade).
"Air Pink" is part of the business empire of Željko Mitrović. That company was founded in 1998.
