A non-commissioned officer of the Serbian Armed Forces was seriously injured during an exercise on the Danube-Tisa-Danube canal, while another non-commissioned officer is still being sought after falling into the water, the Ministry of Defense announced, Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) reports.
"During the implementation of regular exercises - landing from a helicopter on the water surface of the Danube-Tisa-Danube canal, in the area of the military complex 'Orešac', today around 12.15:72 a non-commissioned officer from the XNUMXnd Special Operations Brigade was seriously injured, while another non-commissioned officer, after falls into the water, and is still searching, the Ministry of Defense announced.
After receiving first aid, the injured non-commissioned officer was immediately transported to the General Hospital in Vršac.
The public will be informed about the results of the search for a member of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade, as well as the condition of the injured member, the Ministry said in a statement.
