The First Vice-President of the Government of Serbia and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dacic, said that today is a day of shame in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), since for the first time in history the membership of something that is not a state, and which does not meet the basic requirements in the field of human rights, has been recommended. rights and freedom, broadcast by Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).
"Today is a day of shame in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. For the first time in history, the membership of something that is not a state has been recommended, and that does not meet the basic requirements in the domain of human rights and freedoms. On the contrary, it has refused to form the Union of Serbian Municipalities for 11 years, which is their international obligation, implements a policy of terror against the Serbian people and ethnic cleansing," said Dacic after the PSSE adopted a recommendation to allow Pristina to become a member of the Council of Europe.
With this decision, Dacic pointed out, imposed by the force of international powers, they undermined the very foundations of the Council of Europe and the international legal order.
"What principle of protection of territorial integrity will they continue to talk about, when they violated the territorial integrity of Serbia?" asked Dacic.
Serbia, he says, will continue its fight with all its might, we will fight so that this decision is not adopted at the Committee of Ministers on May 16, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
"And we will see the value of the word of the international community that they gave to President Aleksandar Vucic that Kosovo will not be admitted to the Council of Europe until it forms the Union of Serbian Municipalities. Or it will be a lie again," said Dacic.
