The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Aljbin Kurti, assessed that today's exercise by the Serbian Armed Forces (SAF) on the Pešter Plateau is a "threat to the security" of Kosovo and the Western Balkan region.
Kurti said that the live shooting exercise attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić was "proof that Serbia is the main actor of destabilization in the Western Balkans".
"Today they conducted exercises with combat drones-kamikazes, and the place where the exercise is taking place, apart from being 30 kilometers from the border of Kosovo, is only three kilometers from the border of Serbia and Montenegro," Kurti told reporters.
Since September last year, when an armed group of Serbs attacked the Kosovo Police in Banjska near Zvečani, the Kosovo authorities have repeatedly accused Serbia of deploying troops "near the border".
