The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, said today that Serbia has always expressed reverence for other people's victims, but that "in 30 years, it has not heard a word" about the Serbian victims of the wars of the 1990s in the former Yugoslavia.
"In 30 years, we have never heard a word, not of remorse, but of consolation that someone would give us because of the tens of thousands of Serbian victims," said Vučić at today's "All-Serbian Assembly" on Republic Square in Belgrade.
According to his words, at the same time, the pressures started on the occasion of the Council of Europe "even though Pristina did not fulfill any obligations", as well as with the adoption of the resolution "about the fact that we are a genocidal nation".
"They say that it is not written anywhere. So why did you pass the resolution? You say individual responsibility, so whose name is written there, if it is individual? No one's," said the President of Serbia.
He asked if those who voted for the resolution felt like "big winners".
"How many countries in the world were with you, and how many were not? One small Serbia opposed you, because it decided to fight, not to give up its freedom, not to give up its Serbian name, and we succeeded in that," he said. Vucic.
He also asked if there are more reconciled people in the region today than before the adoption of the resolution.
"Do we think better of each other today? Do we love each other more? Was that the meaning and goal, did you achieve it? You didn't and you knew, you liars, that you wouldn't be able to do that. You wanted to divide the people even more ", Vucic added.
The third question of the President of Serbia was "What are we going to do with all this now?" and whether that means "new lawsuits and new problems."
"Because you imagined that the world has to look the way you want and that you have to impose your will on the Serbian people the way you imagined," said Vučić and spread the Serbian flag he was draped with in the United Nations during the vote on the resolution on Srebrenica.
Speaking about today's "All-Serbian Assembly", he assessed that an "agreement on Serbian unity that will not last one day, two or three months, but will last forever" was reached, and that "no one will ever be able to destroy Serbian unity."
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, said that today an "agreement on Serbian unity that will not last one day, two or three months, but will last forever" was reached.
Vučić, speaking at the "One nation, one parliament - Serbia and Srpska" event at Trg Republike in Belgrade, said that "no one will ever be able to destroy Serbian unity."
He said that an agreement was reached ten years ago with the President of Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik, which was confirmed today.
"Every minister in the Government of Serbia, the first place they will go will be Banjaluka, and every minister of the RS the first place they will go is Belgrade. Now the excursions will go to the RS just as they will go from the RS to Serbia," said Vučić.
Vučić said that he will personally oversee the construction of the Memorial Center in Donja Gradina, on the territory of the RS, and the Memorial Center in Belgrade for the victims of the Second World War, as well as that the construction of those two centers will "go quickly".
He also announced that on Monday, ten million euros will be transferred from the Serbian budget to the RS, for the construction of the section of the Bijeljina - Sremska Rača road.
Speaking about Serbia's foreign policy, Vučić said that "we have to cooperate with both the West and the East".
"We have to deal with the economy, the economy is the cornerstone of our national security," concluded Vučić.
The gathering began with performances by cultural and artistic societies from Serbia and Republika Srpska, and ended with the performance of the song "This is Serbia", while those gathered spread two large flags of Serbia and Republika Srpska. The concert on Republic Square is attended by a large number of officials from Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, among them the patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church Porfirije, the president of the RS Milorad Dodik, the presidents of governments, assemblies and other institutions of Serbia and Srpska.
