Last night in Neum, 665 kilograms of genetically modified marijuana, the so-called, were seized in the tank of the Dubrovnik registry office, which was operated by Croatian citizen MV. skank, "Dubrovački vjesnik" reports.
According to this media, the drugs started from Montenegro, and the final destination was supposed to be Western Europe.
The suspect managed to cross the border at Bistrina with a load of drugs, and the interception only happened when he got hold of Neum.
According to the announcement of the State Agency for Investigation and Protection of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SIPA), police officers conducted an operational operation under the name Petrol Line in the Neum municipality.
On that occasion, a search was carried out of a tanker operated by a citizen of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
SIPA reports that 89 bags were found and temporarily confiscated, each containing seven pieces of an unknown substance, which in its appearance and structure resembles the narcotic drug Cannabis Sativa, with a total weight of about 665 kg.
According to the gathered information, the drug was intended for the illegal market in the countries of Western Europe.
"Three mobiles were temporarily confiscated. The driver of the cargo motor vehicle was detained due to reasonable suspicion that he had committed the criminal offense of illegal traffic in narcotic drugs from Article 195 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina in connection with the criminal offense of Organized Crime from Article 250 of the same law. After the criminal investigation at the premises of SIPA, the suspect will be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina for further action," SIPA said, as reported by Croatian media.
