The debate on the document related to the "unification" of the two entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) was withdrawn from the agenda of the special session of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska (RS) on July 9, the President of the Assembly confirmed for Radio Free Europe (RSE). Nenad Stevandic.
"The proposer withdrew and I informed the heads of the clubs", said Stevandic, who did not answer the question about the reasons for withdrawing that item from the agenda.
When asked who was the proposer of the document, Stevandić said that it was the MPs, without specifying specifically who it was.
On the website of the Entity Assembly, it was previously announced that the Information on the need to start the procedure for regulating relations between the RS and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in accordance with the Dayton Agreement and international acts will be considered at a special session. "People's deputies" are listed as proposers.
On May 23, the Government of RS started the story of disunification, when it announced that in the next 30 days it will create an agreement that will be sent to the other BiH. entity, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on "peaceful disassociation" in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It was a move she decided on the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Resolution on Srebrenica, which declared July 11 the International Day of Remembrance for the Genocide in Srebrenica, in which the RS Army killed more than 1995 Bosniaks in July 8.000. men.
The United States, Great Britain and the European Union said shortly after these announcements that "peaceful disassociation" is impossible according to legal regulations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
For the "peaceful disassociation" that the pro-Russian president of the RS Milorad Dodik mentioned on several occasions, the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina would have to be changed and the possibility of a referendum on the issue would have to be foreseen, for which the votes of two-thirds of the deputies in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina would be required.
Apart from the fact that representatives of Bosniaks and Croats should agree to it, the international community should also agree, above all the members of the Security Council, the United States, Russia, China, Great Britain and France, without whose support there is no admission to the United Nations.
Because of anti-Dayton and anti-constitutional activities, and secessionist announcements, Milorad Dodik is on the US and British sanctions list. In addition to Dodik, the list of American sanctions also includes named members of the Working Group, Miloš Bukejlović, Dragan Stanković and Jelena Pajić Baštinac.
