The bishop of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Grigorije announced that he is against lithium mining in Serbia, i.e. the project implemented by the company Rio Tinto.
Grigorije, who is the bishop of Düsseldorf, announced himself on Instagram ahead of the big protest that was announced for tomorrow in Belgrade.
Grigorije is one of the few bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church who is considered not to have good relations with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, but also with the leaders of the Serbian Orthodox Church loyal to him.
