Part of the participants of the protest against lithium mining in Belgrade entered the building of the Prokop railway station shouting the slogan "They will not dig", and as the activists told TV N1, they informed the Railways of Serbia that the railway was blocked.
At the head of the column are activists of the informal group "Borba", who invited people to enter the track where they unfurled the Serbian flag and blocked the railway.
They announced that, if the police use force against the demonstrators, they will take the railway to the Novi Beograd station, because, as they say, they heard that a large number of policemen are going to that station.
Another group of people headed from Gazela to the Novi Beograd railway station, where several trains from which passengers had already exited were stopped.
The organizers of the big protest against lithium mining had previously announced that these two railway stations would be blocked, and traffic on the Gazela bridge would also be suspended.
