The president of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik, said today in Stričići near Banjaluka that Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is not the identity of the people of the RS, and threatened that if someone decides that the assets of the RS belong to BiH, Srpska will make a decision on independence.
He went on to state that if the authorities of the RS entity make such a decision, even CIA director William Burns will not help those who oppose it.
However, last Sunday, right after Burns' visit to Sarajevo, Dodik wrote on his X account that the RS never contested the sovereignty and territorial integrity of BiH in accordance with the Dayton Agreement and that secession was never the policy of that entity.
However, the President of the RS spoke today about the unity of the Serbian people, and again sent messages about the independence of the entity.
"You will not stop us with the story that we have some bad rhetoric, or that we talk about the past. Throw away that past. Bosnia and Herzegovina is not our identity, our identity is Republika Srpska and Serbia. Our identity cannot and should never be Bosnia and Herzegovina. If you touch us property and if it occurs to you that you are perhaps strong and that you have decided that the property belongs to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Srpska will make a decision on independence," said Dodik, reports the Kliks portal.
Dodik said that everyone who is gathered today in the village near Banjaluka on the occasion of the cultural and artistic program "Strength of Unity" will not give up on the ideas they have.
"We need to focus and gather in a time that is globally difficult. Only a united and united people can wait in unstable times for solutions that bring great ones and be in it and realize our interests. We must defend the Republic of Serbia unitedly. We have no other ways to survive this time," said Dodik.
He also pointed out that the goal is to connect with Serbia as much as possible.
"We are one unique nation. Our adopted Declaration says that there are no Bosnian, Croatian and these Serbs, but Serbs. The Serbian Declaration is the most powerful document of recent Serbian political history and its significance is yet to come," said Dodik.
