The amount of the minimum net salary in Croatia from January 1 next year will be increased by around 80 euros, from this year's around 670 to 750 euros or 15 percent, the Croatian Government has decided.
The new minimum wage will cover 30 thousand more people than two years ago, reports Nezavisne novine.
When it comes to the gross amount, it is an increase from 840 to approximately 970 euros.
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said that 100 people in Croatia today receive the minimum wage and added that the government's goal is to provide a more dignified life to those who have the least.
On the other hand, the latest step in raising the minimum wage is followed by comments that it is still only enough to cover utilities.
