Another minister in the Government of Serbia resigned: I am always here for Vučić and for Serbia

The Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade of Serbia, Tomislav Momirović, resigned from his post today.

"I am informing you that I am resigning from the position of Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade. I am grateful to the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, for his trust and award. For him and for Serbia, I am always here," Momirović stated in his written resignation, which he submitted to the Prime Minister of Serbia, Miloš Vucevic, Tanjug reported.

Momirović served as Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure in the Government of Ana Brnabić from 2020 to 2022, after which he was elected Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade for two terms.

Before Momirović, Goran Vesić resigned from the position of Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure in the Government of Serbia on November 5, due to public pressure after the canopy at the entrance to the Novi Sad Railway Station collapsed, when 14 people died and one succumbed to injuries. Two more people are in hospital in a serious condition.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said last night that "as early as tomorrow" new resignations are expected in connection with the accident in Novi Sad.
