The President of the Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, today called the security to enter the assembly hall after an incident broke out between representatives of the opposition, the authorities and representatives of the Government of Serbia.
After the agenda was adopted and after the session was about to start, the representatives of the opposition raised banners that read "your hands are bloody" and "corruption kills", to which the representatives of the government responded with banners that read "yellow scum, corruption and thievery are your middle names".
Some members of the opposition came close to the benches where the representatives of the Government are sitting, which caused first a verbal and then a physical conflict.
At that moment, security entered the hall, but the commotion continued, during which several blows were exchanged.
Brnabić repeatedly asked the deputies to return to the benches and said that their behavior was "a shame for that House" and "spitting on the victims" in Novi Sad.
The incidents then continued in the gallery of the parliament building, where first the members of the ruling majority unfurled a banner with the inscription "Yellow thieves want war, Serbia wants work", after which part of the members of the opposition tried to remove the banner.
The short banter was interrupted when parliamentary security entered the gallery.
