The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, said today that there is no doubt that Belgrade and Serbia had nothing to do with the explosion on the Ibar-Lepenica canal near Zubin Potok, and that Kosovo Prime Minister Aljbin Kurti had the most reason for it to happen.
"There is no evidence that Serbia is connected, not even speculation. The most important thing is that the investigation continues. We will wait, but we will not let this topic go," Vučić said in Belgrade, during a break of the "Dignity Serbia-Africa 2024 Conference".
He pointed out that the most important thing is to determine who is behind it, and the least important is who the perpetrator is.
"We are ready for full cooperation in conducting the investigation with all international institutions, and in accordance with the Brussels Agreement in a certain way with Pristina institutions," said Vučić.
According to him, if it was committed by someone of Serbian nationality, and it is in the territory that is under the effective control of Serbia, he will be punished in the same second, but, he emphasized, there are no such findings.
Regarding Kurti's statement that the explosion on the canal resembles Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure, Vučić said that Kurti underestimates anyone who has any sense, intelligence and brain.
