The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, said today that it is still unknown whether Cluster 3 will be opened as part of the accession negotiations with the European Union.
He thus answered the question of whether the allegations that no agreement was reached between the EU member states are true.
Radio and Television of Serbia, referring to diplomatic sources in Brussels, reported earlier today that even at the third meeting at the level of ambassadors, there was no necessary consensus on this topic.
"We'll see if it will be, we still have seven days ahead, what would they say. Next week, our Hungarian friends will put it on the agenda again. Will-will, won't-won't, thank you," Vučić told Serbian journalists in Zurich.
The next debate on the opening of the cluster could be held on December 11. The intergovernmental conference at which the cluster would be opened should be held in the week between December 16 and 20.
Cluster 3 - "Competitiveness and inclusive growth" is now on the table, in which eight chapters are grouped, five of which were already opened before the new methodology introduced the cluster concept.
Vučić from Zurich is traveling to Bern tomorrow where he will meet with Swiss officials.
