Eleven children ended up in the city hospital in Skopje after the new "Superman" challenge on the social network "Tik Tok", local media announced today.
As the director of the Clinic for Surgical Diseases "St. Naum Ohridski" Nebojša Nastov said, the injured children are between the ages of 10 and 16 and all of them are from Skopje, and two of them have broken arms.
"Until 13 pm yesterday, eleven children were admitted to this hospital. It is possible that there are more, but this is what we have as information on the mechanisms of injury," Nastov told the MIA agency.
When asked by a journalist what kind of challenge it was, he explained that it was about stretching out your arms like "superman" and then letting the children fall.
"The arms are outstretched like the character of 'Superman'. The group grabs and throws the challenged boy or girl into the air. That's what they explained to me. I haven't seen him and I can't say for sure. There are both male and female children," he added. is Nastov.
He appealed that such things should not be done in the future, because they could end up with more serious consequences.
"Fortunately, out of these 11 children, only two have broken arms, the others have bruises. But if this continues, there could be more serious injuries. If the child falls on his head, he will have more serious injuries," added Nastov.
