The president of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik was released today for home treatment, after undergoing surgery on December 9 in a private clinic in Belgrade.
"I arrived home in my village. I thank the medical team and hospital staff for the professional attitude and care they showed. The battle for health is special and the most difficult for a person personally, so thank you to everyone who supported me," wrote Dodik on the social network Iks .
He added that he has a period of rehabilitation and recovery ahead of him.
As previously announced from his office, Dodik was hospitalized on December 8 in Belgrade due to pain in the esophagus and stomach, and a day later he underwent emergency surgery.
