Rallies in support of student blockades in Serbia were held today in several cities abroad, including New York, Madrid, London, Brussels, Barcelona and Milan.
"NYC is with you," reads a banner that citizens unfurled in New York as a sign of support for students in Serbia.
"Your hands are bloody," echoed at a rally in New York, not far from the Serbian church, between 25th and 26th streets on Broadway Avenue.
At a rally in front of the Serbian Embassy in London, those gathered carried banners reading "Responsibility for all our people, for all our children", "Serbia endures", "Far away, but with you", "You will not trample them", "All the wounds of my people hurt me", and others, Nova.rs reports.
In Madrid, a protest was also held in front of the Serbian embassy, and those gathered sent messages such as "Corruption kills", "Love for students and pupils, together we can do everything", "Kids, thank you from Madrid", and there were banners in Serbian, Spanish and English.
In front of the Serbian consulate in Milan, those gathered carried banners reading "Because of you, far from home" and "The whole world is watching you", along with red handprints sending a message to the authorities that they have "Bloody hands" for the tragedy in Novi Sad, as well as banners reading "Corruption kills" in Serbian, English and Italian.
Several dozen people gathered at Luxembourg Square in Brussels, using banners to send messages such as "We are all under a canopy", "Mom, is that all of Serbia on the streets?", "Brussels with educators" and others.
The day before, rallies in support of students and high school students were held in Amsterdam and Paris.
