Long columns of students, high school students and citizens of Novi Sad this afternoon, from 15 p.m., poured onto Novi Sad's boulevards to protest in front of the offices of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) on Oslobodjenja Boulevard, and an hour later, columns of demonstrators set off on a protest walk through the city streets, which lasted until 19.30:XNUMX p.m.
A long line of students started from the university campus.
They made a lot of noise with whistles, vuvuzelas, trumpets, and drums.
They were joined by farmers on tractors, as well as a large number of motorcyclists, who made a lot of noise with their engines.
High school students from Novi Sad also came to the protest in an organized manner, accompanied by a large number of parents.
The security guards, mostly professors from the University of Novi Sad, formed a cordon in front of the SNS premises to prevent incidents.
"We want to thank all the parents and elders, former students, workers and students who came here to support us so that none of us would end up like the innocent Ana, who was brutally beaten by SNS thugs last night at three in the morning. Such injustice must never be repeated," one of the students said through a megaphone.
"Ana is not just a student, she is not just our colleague. Ana is a symbol of resistance and the fight for justice for all of us. This is not just an attack on us, this is an attack on the entire idea of freedom and justice, of a normal society that we are fighting for," said one of the students.
During the protest march, demonstrators blocked roads and the busiest intersections in the city.
The demonstrators carried banners reading "Dialogue" with an illustration of a bloody baseball bat as an allusion to the beating of students and the regime's previous call for dialogue, "Enough blood", "Now you're done!", "All for one, one for all", "The paint will wash off, the blood won't", "It's over!", "Don't worry, mom, the government didn't kill me today", "Case - corrupt", "Thugs have entered textbooks and reading books", "The play is over", "Together we are stronger", "Do we need to draw for you?", "Prepare your defense, your last days are coming".
They also carried a banner reading "Children belong in school, criminals belong in prison. Criminals are in power. That's why children are on the streets."
Students also called for a blockade of all three bridges, which was announced for City Day, February 1st.
They chanted "Arrest Vučić!" and "Prison, prison", "Resignation, then prison!", "Get out."
They carried the flags of Novi Sad and Serbia.
Kragujevac: Several gendarmerie vans entered the courtyard of the building where the SNS is located
In Kragujevac, in front of the premises of the city board of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), a peaceful protest by students and citizens ended at around 19.15:XNUMX p.m., lasting about an hour and without incidents.

During the protest in front of the SNS, a 15-minute silence was observed for those killed in the November 1 canopy collapse in Novi Sad.

Protest in Niš in support of beaten students in Novi Sad
In Niš, several thousand students and citizens blocked the roundabout at the "Delta Planet" Shopping Center this afternoon in support of the students who were attacked in Novi Sad.
Students and citizens protested at 16.00:XNUMX PM at the intersection in front of the Basic Court, and then organized a protest walk along Voždova and Vojvode Mišića Streets next to the headquarters of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) board, reports a Beta agency reporter.

In Čačak, several thousand students, high school graduates, and citizens protested tonight over the attack on students in Novi Sad and the beating of a female student with baseball bats.
They blocked two roundabouts in the wider center of Čačak, after which they organized a protest walk through the central city streets and stopped traffic from 17.00:18.00 PM to XNUMX:XNUMX PM, accompanied by the sounds of whistles and horns.
At roundabouts, students unfurled a large billboard that read "Resignation does not equal justice," a Beta agency reporter reported.

The protest was organized by students of the Faculty of Engineering in Čačak.
