Novi Sad students, pedestrians and cyclists, were greeted vociferously this evening upon their return from a large protest in Kragujevac on the campus of the University of Novi Sad in front of the Faculty of Economics.
Colleagues and citizens welcomed them with applause and hugs.
Novi Sad students who walked to Kragujevac sang "Throw back the hill so we can climb it!".
They also announced that they would attend a large protest in Niš, which Niš students had scheduled for March 1st.
"Come on, come on, everyone for Niš!" they said in song.
Novi Sad students walked for several days to a large Sretenje protest in Kragujevac, which was held on Saturday.
In addition to pedestrians, a student "squad" of cyclists also made their way to Kragujevac.
It is estimated that the protest in Kragujevac was one of the most massive in Serbia since the beginning of the student blockades, and it was attended by students from all universities and tens of thousands of citizens from all over the country.
