Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said that democracy is something we must cherish and protect, and that is why the state did not intervene in front of the Presidency tonight when a police cordon stood between the students at the blockade and those gathered in the "Students 2.0" association.
"We know that riots are being planned for March 15th, they are nervous because they know that a colored revolution will not pass them by," Vučić said.
In an extraordinary address from the Presidency of Serbia, he said that he clearly announced what was coming about ten days ago.
"I said that there is a decline in the numbers of those who block Serbia and that people have now understood that, that support for these rallies organized by the opposition is declining and that they will become radicalized. It is completely logical. They must also do their job towards those outside who have invested huge amounts of money to overthrow the sovereign government, to the point that they must fulfill the orders of Dragan Šolak, who is under the protection of some foreign intelligence agencies," Vučić said, RTS reports.
He reminded us, as he said, of the unpleasant scenes of violence organized by the opposition in the Serbian Parliament, as well as the attacks in front of the City Assembly.
He also referred to the rally in front of RTS and the cordon that separated the students in the blockade and those gathered in the "Students 2.0" association, asking "who bothers children who want to learn, don't make noise and don't bother anyone and don't block the streets."
Vučić pointed out that a dangerous situation has arisen in which it is only allowed to think the way the blockaders think.
"And I'm not referring to the students. I think they behaved more decently tonight than all those others who walked around all day pretending to be on a general strike, which no one even noticed today," Vučić said.
He pointed out that the epilogue was that children who want to learn are being beaten.
"These are children who duly registered their gathering. The right to free assembly is a right that must exist and must be respected. Is it possible that someone was bothered by the fact that there is a different view of the world and that maybe 500 or 550 people who want to learn. You lied for days that they are there to protect me, will 535 people protect me? Now you have created and led to the fact that there will be thousands of these people. We were patient and blinkered and let everyone go. We know that riots are being planned for March 15. They are nervous, because they know that a colored revolution will not work for them. They only have one solution, and that is crime. They have no other solution and the violent will never win," Vučić said.
