Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced that he had a "cordial conversation" with Donald Trump Jr., the son of the US President, in Belgrade today, about "bilateral relations between Serbia and the US and current topics shaping the global political and economic scene."
"I emphasized the importance of economic and political relations between Serbia and the US and stressed the importance of strategic cooperation between the two countries and joint projects in the coming years. This meeting symbolizes the commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and working together to solve global challenges," Vučić wrote on Instagram.
Media reported that Trump Jr. arrived in Belgrade for his second visit to Serbia in six months. The last time he visited was in the midst of his father's presidential campaign, in late September last year.
Ahead of his meeting with the US president's son, Vučić announced on Instagram that he would discuss the economy and "new great challenges, but also successes in the future."
