Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković underwent surgery last night at a hospital in Zagreb due to heart problems. The procedure was planned and went without any problems, the Croatian Government announced this morning.
"We would like to inform you that the Prime Minister was treated yesterday evening at the Clinic for Cardiovascular Diseases at the Zagreb Clinical Hospital Center for Cardiology for an occasional benign heart rhythm disorder," the statement, carried by the Hina news agency, said.
It adds that the procedure was previously planned and went smoothly.
According to unofficial information, the Prime Minister will be released from the hospital today.
