Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević said today that the government is ready to send an official invitation to the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) to come and conduct an investigation into the alleged use of a sound cannon at Saturday's protest in Serbia.

"We are ready to officially make an invitation, we are not hiding anything," Vučević told reporters at the government.

He reiterated the position that no Serbian state body used a sound cannon at that protest.

Vučević called the story about the use of a sound cannon fabricated, stating that no sound cannon was on the streets of Belgrade, and that he was with police officers all day on Saturday, and that no order was issued to use batons.

"There is no order from the police leadership, superiors in the chain of command, nor from the units that were in the field, nor from the command section, to carry out any action against anyone," the Prime Minister stated, adding that he was grateful to the police for "a job well done."

The Prime Minister assessed that behind everything lies "the continuation of the color revolution in Serbia."

"Despite the large number of attendees, the meeting was devoid of any political meaning. And in order to make up for that and, as they say, to pump out something new, one has to resort to an even bigger lie," he said.

Vučević said that the Serbian police have nothing to hide and that he expects the prosecution to investigate everything to the end.

"And when it is determined that they lied, and you will see that they lied, those who spread fake news will have to be held accountable. And there are no negotiations about that," he said.

Vučević also accused certain doctors "who participated in the protests" of subsequently giving instructions to citizens about what pain they should report.

"Everything was instructed and constructed, above all false. The Serbian police did not use a baton. I absolutely stand behind those words, both I and the entire country," he said.

He stated that there were a large number of people present at the rally on Saturday, emphasizing that the most important thing was that "nothing that was announced happened, there were no attacks on institutions" and that the rally passed peacefully.

"It is obvious that the state authorities acted well in a preventive manner. First of all, the Novi Sad separatist group that was preparing terrorist actions was exposed," Vučević said.

He stated that the most violence occurred on the night between Friday and Saturday, towards the camp in Pionirski Park, as well as towards the tractors that were a kind of protection for the gathered, where 186 tractors were completely destroyed.

"As a political party (SNS), we will help these people and compensate for the damage. We have to do this promptly, because the sowing season is beginning," said Vučević.

He added that some have already been detained for this, and that he expects the police to identify anyone who destroyed property and committed violence.

According to him, there were sporadic minor attacks on the police during Saturday's protest.
