Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti described the Declaration on a Military Alliance between Kosovo, Albania and Croatia, which was signed today in Tirana, as an extremely important step for security and congratulated all those who signed it.
It was announced that the aim of the memorandum is to strengthen cooperation in building defense capabilities and the defense industry, increase interoperability through education, training and exercises, counter hybrid threats and strengthen strategic resilience, providing full support for Euro-Atlantic and regional defense integration.
Kurti wrote on Facebook: "Congratulations to everyone! An extremely important step for security and peace in the region, through defense, cooperation and coordination of our peace-loving countries, with the trilateral declaration on the military alliance signed today in Tirana by our Minister of Defense (Kosovo) Ejup Macedonci, Minister of Defense of Albania Piro Vengu and Minister of Defense of Croatia Ivan Anušić."
The document regulates cooperation in the field of defense, joint military operations and joint training.
Minister Macedonci said that "the purpose of this cooperation is not to threaten anyone, it is a message to those who intend to endanger the region, to show them that we are together and that we will not allow anyone to destabilize the region."
"I thank the Minister of Albania and Croatia for this initiative, I appreciate that this agreement is the first trilateral in the region," said the Macedonian.
