Resigning Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Ivica Dačić said last night that "key evidence was published on Wednesday evening that refutes all the lies and manipulations being put forward and confirms that the so-called sound cannon was not used at the rally in Belgrade."
Dačić's statement, carried by his ministry, states that "this was confirmed by the American manufacturer 'Genasys', from which the Ministry of the Interior purchased the devices in 2021, who categorically stated that the video and audio recordings they received do not support the use of LRAD, or the so-called sound cannon, at the March 15 rally."
This "key evidence destroys all the lies and manipulations that are being put forward and confirms that we were telling the truth: that the so-called sound cannon was not used at the rally in Belgrade," Dačić said.
He asked, "What else is needed to stop the lies, other than claiming that even the manufacturers don't know what they are producing and selling?"
"Such a statement from the manufacturer," the minister continued, "and our demonstration of devices that serve as voice warnings do not suit the creators and purveyors of lies, which is why none of the opposition media outlets have published it, because it undermines their concept that the bigger the lie, the easier it will get away with."
Dačić finally said that "this is the end of all deceptions and lies" and that "the so-called sound cannon was not used on March 15th, nor has it ever been used by the Serbian police, unlike many other countries that are sponsors of protests in Serbia."
