In the Belgrade municipality of Zvezdara, citizens threw eggs at activists of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) who set up promotional stands this morning, media reported.
SNS activists are being protected by the police from protesting citizens, and the same stands have been set up today in Vračar, near Kalenić Market, and near Cvetkova Market in Belgrade.
Citizens of the Zvezdara municipality earlier today got into a verbal conflict with SNS activists who had set up stands in that municipality, and now, as reported by the media, they were being pelted with eggs.
As reported by the "Vreme" portal, residents of Zvezdara threw eggs at SNS activists, who returned fire, while police officers set up a cordon between the conflicting parties.
The reason why SNS activists set up a stand at that location is unknown, but citizens suspect that it is a matter of collecting signatures for elections that could be called if a new government is not formed within the legal deadline, N1 reported.
