The President of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, stated tonight in Batajnica that Serbia needs to return to itself and become strong again, after its strength was taken away by "aimless protests", assessing that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić is the only one who can ensure this.
At the commemoration of the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of NATO Aggression at the "Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović" airport, Dodik said that Vučić must not give up "because he is the only one who can restore strength to Serbia."
"It is important today for Serbia to return to itself, to gather strength and become strong again, to stop taking its strength through empty gatherings that have no goal. They don't even say what the purpose of that is, the purpose is to take away the strength of the Serbs," Dodik said.
He stated that Serbs from Republika Srpska want to see a strong Serbia, "because they know that without a strong Serbia they are exposed, just like under NATO bombs, to some other usurpers and liars, who constantly lie in the name of some universal justice."
"We do not expect them to be on our side, but they should at least be objective, if nothing else. That is why it is important, Mr. President Vučić, that you find the strength within yourself and put Serbia back in order, to offer the stability that you have shown you can provide," Dodik added.
Dodik also said that "those who are now stopping Serbia are wrong" because they "play into the hands of those who wanted" the Serbs to forget what NATO did to them.
"Serbia must find strength, to once again be the most developed economy in Europe and an important international political factor. And the only man who can do that is Aleksandar Vučić, which is why we from Republika Srpska give him full confidence," said Dodik.
He stated that after the NATO bombing, Serbia was a "lost and defeated country" and that "it took a little over 10 years for Vučić to come and lift Serbia up and show that it could be different."
"Today we mark March 24th, but just 10, 12 years ago it wasn't like that. Some wanted this (NATO bombing) to be forgotten, that it didn't exist, that maybe one day we would give thanks for their intentions and operations. Everything seemed to be lost, and then Aleksandar Vučić, Toma Nikolić and their team appeared and they said that this must not be forgotten," he added.
Dodik also said that Serbs today are marking "the fact that NATO, that powerful monster," bombed Serbs twice, first in Republika Srpska in 1995, and then in Yugoslavia in 1999.
"NATO did it without hesitation, without valid international decisions, it did it out of pleasure. They justified their crimes, and then they withdrew, and then others came and told me that it was a long time ago. No, it wasn't a long time ago, it still hurts today because no one who committed that injustice and crime was held accountable," Dodik said.
