European Council President Antonio Costa announced that he will visit the Western Balkans in May.
In a speech at the Center for European Policies, he said that they are working resolutely on enlargement to the Western Balkans, Ukraine and Moldova.
He pointed out that enlargement is the European Union's best geopolitical investment.
"That's why I visited Ukraine twice in four months. That's why I visited Moldova in early March, and this year we will convene a bilateral summit. That's why the first summit I chaired was with the Western Balkans, a region I will visit in May," the speech published on the European Commission's website reads.
