The president of the Bosnian entity of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, announced that he had arrived in Moscow.
Dodik stated on the X network that every stay in the Russian capital begins with "a visit to the Monument to the Unknown Hero to pay tribute to the 28 million Russians who died in World War II."
He did not specify the program of his visit to Moscow, but said he would come again on Victory Day over Fascism on May 9, when a large military parade is expected.
The Court of BiH requested the issuance of an international arrest warrant for Dodik because he did not respond to the Prosecutor's Office's summons for questioning regarding suspicions that he committed the criminal offense of attacking the constitutional order. A central search was previously issued in BiH.
"I will be here again on May 9th at the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism, in which the Russian and Serbian people suffered the most," Dodik said in a video he posted on X.
"Some are trying to revise history. It is impossible to do so, but those who want to do so are openly trying to distort historical facts. But the historical fact about the suffering of the Russian and Serbian people, and the Jewish people during World War II, is simply impossible to change," Dodik said.
He also spoke highly of Putin, with whom he has met several times since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and whom he said is "a significant historical leader of the Russian people."
"He endured everything and came to the situation of welcoming another counterpart who is important to him in the fight against the globalist elite, and that is President Trump (Donald) in the USA," Dodik said.
On March 27, the Court of BiH requested that Interpol issue a red warrant for Dodik and the Speaker of the RS Parliament Nenad Stevandić, on suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of "attacking the constitutional order of BiH."
The decision was made after both men left BiH, avoiding legally prescribed border control procedures, while a central arrest warrant was issued for them, meaning any police agency should bring them to the Court of BiH.
