Republika Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow today.
"I just had a meeting with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. This is our 26th meeting," Dodik wrote on the social network X, where he also posted a video of the meeting with Putin.
He added that Russia is a very important country for RS, within the UN Security Council, emphasizing that Russia "has always been objective."
"Russia is the guarantor of the Dayton Peace Agreement and Putin said so at the meeting. He added that within this framework, Russia will advocate for the end and cessation of the work of international institutions, especially the fake high representative, or, as he says, the illegitimate representative," Dodik said.
He also said that "Putin knows the details and the overall situation that is happening here," adding that the Russian president "is interested in something that an ordinary person here asks. He was interested in the details, what we do and how we do it," Dodik concluded.
The Kremlin's official website announced that the meeting between Putin and Dodik was also attended by Russian President's Assistant Yuri Ushakov, the Minister of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska Željko Budimir, and the Head of the RS Representative Office in Russia Duško Perović.
Dodik arrived in Moscow yesterday, where he visited the Monument to the Unknown Hero and announced that he would visit Moscow again on May 9, Victory Day over Fascism.
On March 27, the Court of BiH requested that Interpol issue a red warrant for Dodik and the Speaker of the RS Parliament Nenad Stevandić, on suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of "attacking the constitutional order of BiH."
This request was made after both of them left BiH, avoiding legally prescribed border control procedures, while a central arrest warrant was issued for them in BiH.
