Students from Serbia who are cycling to Strasbourg, France, have arrived in the Hungarian town of Dunauj Varoš, which is their final destination on today's route.
They have covered 137 kilometers since this morning, which is one of the longest distances they have had to cover in one day, N1 reported.
They decided to take this trip in order to draw the attention of the international public to the events in Serbia.
Cheerful, they sang "Nobody is tired", but also a student song, part of which is "sing, sing Serbia, the people have awakened, their court will judge... let's go to Strasbourg, let's save Serbia. Fulfill the demands".
Lawyer Vladimir Beljanski, who is with the students, said that the trip was more difficult for him, but that the young people he is traveling with are great.
"They are pulling, the pace is excellent and this is another organization from which they are learning a lot, systematicity, persistence, planning and a goal are all that they need to stick to in order to get what they want," he said.
The students have so far covered almost 250 kilometers in two days, and tomorrow they have a 91-kilometer stage to Budapest, according to the N1 television website.
Students from the University of Novi Sad are on a blockade, 80 of them, on bicycles, going to Strasbourg via Subotica, Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, Linz, Salzburg, Munich, Augsburg, Ulm and Stuttgart.
They expect to arrive in Strasbourg on April 17th.
