Students on strike in Serbia have called on citizens to protest on Monday, April 7, from 11 a.m. to 13 p.m. on the plateau in front of the "Union - Nikola Tesla" University, as the April exam period officially begins on that day.
Students will come to this location in four groups.
The first group will head from the Rectorate building in Belgrade at 10.30:XNUMX am down Uzun Mirkova Street, via Pierre de Mottezire to Car Dušan, or rather to the plateau, at the same time as the group gathering on Terazije Terrace to reach the meeting point down Kolačeva and Francuska Street.
The third group will start at 10.15:27 from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering building down 10.15. marta street to Dušanova, while the fourth group will also start at XNUMX:XNUMX from Manjež Park, via Kralj Milan to Francuska and further, to the plateau in front of the "Union - Nikola Tesla" University.
The merging of these four groups and the noise-making on the plateau (Cara Dušana Street 62-64) will last until 11.52:16 a.m., when students will observe XNUMX minutes of silence for those killed in the collapse of the canopy in front of the Novi Sad Railway Station.
"The blockade we voted for is not just a symbolic act. It is a rebellion against irresponsibility and neglect of problems that directly affect our lives and security. We are aware that we cannot fight this fight alone, and we call on all who support us to join us... Students, professors, fellow citizens - now is the time to show solidarity. If we don't act now, when will we," the students' statement on their official Instagram page reads.
