The Court of BiH has filed an appeal with Interpol against the decision not to issue a red notice for Dodik and Stevandić.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has appealed Interpol's decision not to issue an international arrest warrant for Republika Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik and the Speaker of the RS National Assembly Nenad Stevandić.

"Due to the nature of the communication with NCB Interpol, the Court can at this moment only confirm the information that a request for review of the decision to reject the request for issuing an Interpol red warrant was sent through the NCB Interpol office, while all other circumstances and information are considered confidential," the Court of BiH responded to the Sarajevo portal Kliks (klix.ba).

In early April, the Interpol General Secretariat rejected the Court of BiH's request for an international arrest warrant for Dodik and Stevandić, citing Article 3 of the Interpol Statute, which refers to "political persecution."

Previously, both Serbia and Hungary officially filed an objection to the request of the Court of BiH.

A central arrest warrant has been issued for Dodik and Stevandić, as well as for RS Prime Minister Radovan Višković, for refusing to respond to a summons for questioning at the BiH Prosecutor's Office in connection with an investigation into "an attack on the constitutional order."

They are held responsible because the RS National Assembly adopted laws that prohibit the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH, the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC), and the Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) from operating on the territory of Republika Srpska.

The Court of BiH issued an internal arrest warrant for them, but regardless, Dodik and Stevandić crossed the state border several times without any reaction from the competent institutions.
