The sixth night of the student blockade of the Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) building on Takovska Street, in the center of Belgrade, was attended by the largest number of citizens to date, around 23 of whom were more than 15.000, the Beta agency reported.
Students blocked all main entrances to the RTS building, as well as all side entrances.
Last night, students from Novi Pazar were also present at the blockade, having come to help their colleagues from Belgrade University during the Easter holidays.
The crowd chants "Pump, pump", "Students, students", "Who doesn't jump is a cad", honks and blows whistles and vuvuzelas. Along with ex-Yu hits from the 1980s, there was occasional singing and dancing in the streets.
Citizens are constantly bringing students food, juices, water and other necessities. In accordance with Easter customs, many students and citizens brought boiled eggs to this gathering.
Takovska Street is blocked to traffic: from Knez Miloša to Svetogorska, part of Ilije Grašanina Street and Majora Tepića Street, as well as Aberdareva Street.
