The students in the blockade have confirmed that they will continue to organize the blockade of the Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) facilities in Takovska Street and on Košutnjak "until a new competition for members of the Council of the Regulatory Body for Electronic Media (REM) is announced", meaning that they will continue with the blockades tomorrow.
In a post on social media, they announced a plan for today's activities in front of the RTS buildings, according to which they will organize a family lunch at both locations throughout the day.
Several DJs will perform at Košutnjak from 14 pm to 22 pm.
In front of the building in Takovska, in addition to the "family lunch" and the all-day action "Street of the Blocked Heart", several DJ performances will also be organized from 21 p.m. to 4 a.m.
The "program scheme" for both locations states that the blockades will end when "a new competition for REM is announced."
Students and citizens are still blocking the entrances to the RTS facilities in Takovska and Aberdareva Streets, as well as the studios on Košutnjak, RTS previously stated, adding that employees are prevented from coming to their workplaces.
The blockade of the public service building has been ongoing since April 14, and RTS previously announced that due to "difficult working circumstances" it was forced to adjust its programming schedule, that they had filed a criminal complaint with the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade against unidentified persons - organizers of the blockades, and that they had requested a reaction from international institutions.
Parts of Takovska Street, Ilija Garašanin Street and Majora Ilić Street are currently still closed to traffic.
Many of the tables set up by students at the "family lunch" feature eggs painted in accordance with Easter customs.
Some of them have "pump" and "blockade egg" written on them.
