The Bosnian Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) confirmed tonight that inspectors from this agency arrived in front of the Administrative Center of Republika Srpska (RS) in East Sarajevo with the intention of executing the order of the Court of BiH to arrest RS President Milorad Dodik, but that they were told to withdraw by members of the RS police.
"Upon learning that a meeting was being held in the building, SIPA police officers came to the building. They spoke with their colleagues from the Republika Srpska Ministry of Interior and were told to withdraw," said SIPA spokesperson Jelena Miovčić.
The Sarajevo-based portal Raport announced that it had been confirmed that a report on the committed criminal offense will be filed against members of the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs who refused to act on the order of the Court of BiH, which also ordered a one-month detention of Dodik for attacking the constitutional order.
As stated, they are suspected of having committed the criminal offense of obstructing official duty pursuant to an order of the Court, namely preventing an official from performing an official act and aiding and abetting the perpetrator of a criminal offense.
The pictures from the scene also showed the Chief of the East Sarajevo Police Department, Branimir Šehovac, who, according to this portal, told the SIPA inspectors that they could not enter and that it was best for them to leave the area.
SIPA made an official note about this.
